michael_wetteland
I'm trying to select a printer for a photobook of wedding pics. that can print a reasonalby high quality product. Has anyone had experience with adoramapics ,viovio, bookemon or whcc? What I've read about blurb and others is rather scary. Thanks in advance for your help. katie_odell1
We have used WHCC and I was underwhelmed. We are currently using Black River Imaging and Finao, and love both - and so do our clients, which is the most important thing!
senor_crocodrillo
I've had only good experiences with Blurb. I've printed about ten books with them, since the middle of last year. It's not a formal album, but it's a great way for a client to show off your work to their friends and family until the album is ready. I've received nothing but compliments from every book I've made. What have you heard that is, "scary" about them? Maybe I'm an exception to the rule?
scrivyscriv
I second Katie's mention of Black River Imaging. Their software isn't intuitive and can be frustrating at times but customer service and product quality are both excellent.
davebell
I had a good look and feel of numerous Blurb books at the SWPP Convention in London last weekend. I was very impressed with the quality, and more so considering the prices. While they are clearly not at the Asuka book level, they are certainly a very good option for a lower budget.
aura_jane
After researching this to death and scouring the ppa trade show looking for albums, I came up with asuka books for the print press coffee table books, and kiss wedding albums and finao for the flush mount albums. I take mine which has samples of my work with me to every presentation.
michael_wetteland
Jim, thats pretty much the conclusion that I've come to based upon all that I've read so far. Do you have any further advice to add. I am on the very low end of the learning curve so most anything would be useful. I also want to thank everyone else who has responed I am very grateful to you all. Mike
heather_claypool
Zookbinders has a great photobook...It's still not the high end true "album", but it's a good entry level book. The thing I love about it is the fact that all the pages are seamless, so a 10x20 spread won't have a huge gap in the middle like some of the other books do (helpful if you use panoramas here and there). I've used their Photobooks for years and have just ordered my first Photobook "Plus" (it's a larger version with thicker pages...under $200).
