gary payne
My D700 has firmware version A 1.00 and B 1.00. Before attempting to add the new update, version 1.02, do I first need to update version 1.01? Or, does version 1.02 incorporate, or include, the 1.01 changes as well? I ask because, on the Nikon update page, when I click on version 1.01 (Mac), it indicates that 1.01 is no longer available, permission denied. I can't find the answer on the Nikon/USA help files.
I didn't update to version 1.01, because its features were not important to me, and I follow the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule. Now, however, 1.02, with WB improvements, etc., does matter to me but I don't want to screw up by adding updates out of order.
keith_durnford
Yes it does cover version 1.01 so you are good to just update to version 1.02, just follow exactly how it tells you to do it and you should have no problems, only takes a few minutes.
ShunCheung
Go directly to the latest, which is 1.02 at the moment.
wpahnelas
i did mine earlier this afternoon, and i was also at v 1.00 on both banks... i thought it a bit odd that there wasn't a separate .bin file for each bank this time, but after the update finished i was up to v 1.02 on both banks. operationally it seems not to have changed anything at all, but i haven't looked at any pictures i shot today yet.
