mark_withrow1 Posted December 16, 2009 Share Posted December 16, 2009
I hope I have posted in the correct category.
I am currently having an issue that I can't seem to resolve. I have been on hold with Adobe tech support for over an hour so I thinking that may not be the best route. Recently I built a new system to run CS4 Prem. Windows 7 Pro. Everything works perfect except for CS4 Bridge. I have down loaded the (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/407/kb407111.html) recommended Raw plug-in according to Adobes website (5.2). Adobes Tech notes are a bit confusing. I am hoping that someone might share some helpful info on how to resolve this issue.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
WJT Posted December 16, 2009 Share Posted December 16, 2009
Why don't you try the latest version, which is 5.5. It should install automatically in CS4. Regards.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tar heel Posted December 16, 2009 Share Posted December 16, 2009
What, precisely, is the problem with Bridge?
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mark_withrow1 Posted December 16, 2009 Author Share Posted December 16, 2009
Walter;
I have tried using the latest version, however according to the Tech note table advises that you use 5.2. I did however try 5.5 and received an error when trying to install. Thanks
Phil;
When I try to view a RAW (CR2) image no picture appears in the content, just the file name. When I click on the file name I get an error message from PS "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document". I can view my RAW images for example using "FastStone". Any ideas would really be appreciated at this point. Thanks
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
scott_burns3 Posted December 16, 2009 Share Posted December 16, 2009
Have you launched PS (not Bridge) on the new system yet? If not, open it and try Bridge again.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
