video color correction using canon 5d mkII

<p>yesterday I managed to do my first indoor stage video using 5d mkII my only complaint is the stage lights where too hot so the colors where off too red is there a software that will let me make a color correction, something that is simple and easy to use ?</p>

<p>Yes...and no. There is software that will do color correction on video files, though I don't know any that simple and easy to use (and/or cheap). Also, if you shot things in 1080HD it's going to take a long time to go through the video and extract each frame, correct the color and stick everything back into the video format.</p>

<p>If you're using a Mac, Apples Final Cut Express is a less expensive alternative to FC Pro with many of the same features. Look for version 3.5.1 which includes additional software Apple removed from version 4; so if you can find a copy of Final Cut Express HD you'll literally get more for your money. The learning curve can be steep but the manual is well written. And yes you can color correct 5DII video files with Final Cut Express HD. What I wish the software had though is color correction via color temperature, not a color wheel as in Bob's video link.</p>
