happy_bunny
Hi. I am a wedding album designer that works with photographers. I have been using Zook Binders but because of the economy I am finding that even their Photobook is too expensive and they are requesting a cheaper alternative. So I am looking for a good wedding album company that sells albums for about $50. Should be at least 8" x 8", 20+ pages. Any suggestions you have would be great.

I know that sounds too cheap, but by the time I add my graphic design time, shipping of the finished album to me in hawaii, etc, it really does get expensive. I'm finding people don't want to spend $300 -$400 for a quality album nowadays.

Thanks.

dan_tripp
Adorama PhotoBook: http://www.adoramapix.com/PhotoBooks.aspx
They are lay flat albums, but you can only get 26 or 50 pages. I think they will change that in the future. I have never ordered one, but I'm in the same boat you are in. I also found out Zook Binders is no longer offering matte finish on their albums.
sherijohnson
I ordered a sample book from adoramapix, the colors were a bit off in my sample, but still acceptable. I did another sample book with shutterfly and it turned out perfectly.
tina___cliff_t
We've used Blurb. They turn out nice, and you can still design your own layouts in photoshop.
silverdae
Check out Burrell Colour Imaging. They offer a Crown Elite book that allows you to fully design the cover (image wrap cover). It has lay-flat pages, hard board, with only a tiny gutter. Their blead guides (photoshop) and ordering instructions allow you to design the spread so that it has seamless lines across the gutter. The outside cover reminds me of a high-school yearbook- that sort of look at the seam, but the quality is outstanding for the price. Check on the limitations of pages if you contact them. Depending on the number of the pages, it should be right in your price point. I'm very picky about color, and they will send you a printer profile so you can soft proof in photoshop.
silverdae
Oh- it is a press-printed book, though, but I was very happy with the quality.

ar_fonseca
I'm gonna put in one more vote for the Adoramapix photo book, I sell it as a "coffee table book" not a bridal album, they're by no means an ultra-high end book, but I think they're pretty damn good for the price they're asking.
Adorama PhotoBook: http://www.adoramapix.com/PhotoBooks.aspx
For the customer who's feeling the economic pinch, these are an easy sell, even with a hefty markup for my design work.
