agustin.benencia
Hi everybody, I need your thoughts about thic pic. Do you think this is a back focus problem? I used my 5D and my new EF 50mm f1,4. The photo was made using tripod and central focus point.

Many thanks.
Agustín

felix_mizioznikov
I've had this same with most of my lenses in which the microadjustment fixed the issue. heres also another catch. if your using the chart, your lens will perform better within that range but may do worse when shooting in the field at greater distances. I've found that testing and making adjustments to the backfocus with what you plan on using the lens for will yield better results. do you have the 5d or 5d2? does the old 5d have the microadjustment?
my 50 1.4 is set at 3 points back and it's at it's best there
agustin.benencia
Hi Felix, thanks for your input. No, the old 5D does not have that priceless tool that is the microadjustment. So I think my only way of fixing my lens in relying on the Canon service.
