Clone tool curser circle lost CS4

<p>Could someone please help me get my circle back. I can't figure it out. When I use the clone stamp tool I want the circle as the curser over the photo not the annoying cross thats of no help at all. I have looked and looked for the way of changing it but cannot find it. Help with this would be much appreciated.</p>

<p>Just one possibility. Your brush size is set to some ridiculous amount like 2500 pixels or something, which would account for your seeing the cross (the centre of your brush size) whilst the circle itself is way out and beyond your image size or frame.</p>

...also go to Edit >> Preferences >> Cursors and in the Painting Cursors panel there ensure you have the right choices there. I have a mark on 'Normal Brush Tip' and 'Show Crosshair in brush tip'

<p>I've run into this a few times over the years where it just vanishes randomly.. for me it usually comes back when I go into preferences and change the cursor type to something else.. close it, exit the program, restart it, change the setting back.</p>

<p>I've never figured out a cause for it..</p>

<p>I bet it's the caps lock key also, it happens to even the most experianced photoshop users... can be very disturbing</p>
