matthew_runde
My Fuji QuickLoad holder now has a significant amount of sand in it and doesn't work properly. Does anyone here have experience with this, and/or is there any way to get the sand out?

I'm planning on calling Fuji, but first I'd like to know of other practical experience.

Thanks for any help. hal_bissinger
Uggh. Try blowing it out with a compressed air hose. Ultimate solution is not to get sand in there to begin with.
bob_moulton7
Matthew, My help is tangental.I had similar problems with Kodak Readyloads and with the old Mido I holders The Kodak Readyloads can be disassembled easily, allowing the owner to vaccuum, blow out and clean its innards. You might check the apparent fasteners of the quickload to see if that is possible with those. Bob
jackflesher
Bad news... You have to buy a new one. For whatever reason they are impossible to clean. I suggest in the future you consider using a Kodak holder -- these work with both Kodak and Fuji QL/RL film, and can be disassembled in the field for cleaning. They are also cheaper!
