albertini_f
Hi, I'm thinking to purchase a Pentax 75mm shift lens. Before I do that I would like to know what is the minimum distance that would be in focus when all the way to infinity. Also I'm curious to know if those measurements are the same when you compare the 55mm lens with the 55-100mm zoom lens (positioned at 55mm). Sorry for my English, I would really appreciate your expertise. Thank you
roberto_manderioli
Hyperfocal distance with 75 mm at f:32 with assumed COF of 0.045 is 3.9 m. With 55/4 at minimum aperture (f:22) is 2.97 m. With the 55/100 at 55 f:32 would be 2.1m. If you need DOF go for the latter or the 45/4 Ciao Roberto
