stratvio
I've got a 65 blue-dot that has click-stops, but my 135mm black barrel lens is just a friction slider
stephen_crowfoot
Eric, Thanks for your response, I have just purchased a 55mm f4.5 black Mamiya TLR Wide angle lens and it has friction slider aperture control, while the black 80mm f2.8 lens I have is 'click' stops, I was not aware of these differences in the Mamiya TLR lens lineup, not that there is that many! Many thanks, Stephen C.
ondebanks
It's a difference in the shutter units, really. The Seikosha ("silver") and Seiko ("black") shutters in the Mamiya TLR lenses are the same as the shutters in the Mamiya Press lenses, which I have. Some of the Seiko shutters have click stops on the aperture ring, some (the earlier ones, I believe) don't.
