I just purchased a Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens for my Canon 5D and I was hoping to find a lens filter to protect my glass. I've been trying to search on Amazon for an 85mm lens filter, but I've come up with nothing. Maybe I'm missing something? Does anyone know where I can find a lens filter for 85mm glass? Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

I have just bought a filter for my Canon 85mm f/1.8 here.
http://2filter.com/hoya/hoya_hd_filters.html
I ordered the Hoya Pro 1 Digital MC 58mm UV XD-58UV for $37.70, but they sent me the new HD instead. Please check here for further details about Hoya new filters.
http://kwigibocity.com/hoya_hd.html
Several filter specialist stores like Filterhouse, 2filter.com... sell filters with much better price than big stores like B&H, Adorama, and Amazon.
Dan is right. I don't use filter all the time.

eBay also offers what look like incredible deals on brand-name filters, directly from China. Out of curiosity I have got a couple, and the boxes and everything look real enough, and the filters weren't obviously made out of bottle glass. They also are coated, and are indistinguishable by me from more expensive ones I've bought on this side of the pond.
