Scanner for 4x5 / Epson v750 vs. Imacon Precision II

Of course the imacon is a lot better for small film formats, but what about 4x5 inch? Do you think the imacon is still a lot better?</p>

<p>Personally, I like the Epson 750 Pro. I bought one a few months ago, and I can't find anything bad to say about it. The Epson can scan up to 8x10, and it works great for my 35mm slides and negatives.</p>

<p>That link goes to a very detailed scanner comparison. Thanks for putting it up Sheldon. I might also mention that even my crummy old $100 Epson 2450 does a good job w/ 4x5 negs, especially transparencies. For B&W I've given up on scanning and always prefer an enlarger print to an inkjet.</p>
