Lynx light measuring button sick

<p>My Lynx 14e light measuring button sometimes does not work. Highly professional local classic camera work shop told me that this oxidation is typical but not at all nice to fix. What has been your solution with unoperative light measuring button?</p>

<p>I have a camera of the same model that yours. The light measuring button works fine but the batteries lasted only for two film rolls and the local repairman told me that that is the problem with that model. Now I dont use the included light meter anymore. So perhaps is not bad news that you camera button does not work.</p>

While I might just give up on the meter and use Sunny F-16 or use a hand-held meter, I can appreciate the feeling

that you want it to work. I've seen some very detailed info on the web for these models. Essentially they might be intrinsically different, but I have the 5000E and 14, (no E). Both models have this little button on the front for the meter.
