Template for combined Blog/Website

I'm using squarespace right now, and while everything isn't totally customizable it's incredibly easy to use and scales up very well (it's very big right now with some of the technorati). At the higher levels you can even put together private client galleries and map it to your own domain name (there are also plenty of discount codes available all over the Web, especially over at Revision 3).
Naturally my photos aren't as stunning as yours but if you pop over to my Web site you can get a good idea of some of what you can do.

I came to this same realization a few months ago and I finally decided on ProPhoto2 by Netrivet. It was the third template I had tried. To say I am satisfied would be an understatement. They have excellent customer service, the templates are easy to customize and yet don't look like templates (IMHO) and the price is very fair. Their site is: http://www.prophotoblogs.com/ if you want to see my site to see an example it is: http://www.classicmainewedding.com/ if you have any quesions feel free to contact me directly through my blog-site! I'm happy I've made the change since I can keep the site current, which was a problem with my old site.

We use a blogsite for our senior portraits. We use www.portfoliositez.com for our template (Andy) and love it. It's based on WordPress; depending on what you get, you can do either a monthly fee, or a one-time purchase. The best part is that if they come out with another template you like better, you can switch for $20.

I thought the same thing so I switched to a blog site and I LOVE it! It always has my recent work, and the search engines find it quickley. Plus if you know a little html or css you are not limited to what you can do with it. Check out tofurious.com and I second http://www.prophotoblogs.com/. I use tofurious, however I have seen some from prophotoblogs and they are great. Here is a link to my site if you would like to take a look here

I used Wordpress for everything. I run my own dedicated server and host all types of sites, but Wordpress is free, has thousands of free and hundreds of great paid themes. I use photostore (ktools.net) for galleries since you can order prints, download images, create private galleries, all the money goes to you, and it's also customizable. It helps that I can edit php/css/html quite a bit to get whatever look I want. I link the gallery to the blog and have it open in a seperate window.
