580ex Flash Compatability.

<p>Can I use my 580ex II flash on my RZ67II. I'm sure I can, I just dont know what other components I need to purchase. I know ill need the hot shoe but Im unsure of which is the right cable. I know this is a novice question but I cant find the correct connecting cord.</p>

<p>While I've not used an RZ67, I would expect to find its shutter with a standard PC outlet; therefor, if your flash requires a hot shoe, you need a hot shoe that fits into your camera's or your grip's accessory slot and then connects via a cord to your camera's PC outlet. Most any of the big retailers or eBay would have plenty of these.</p>

<p>I haven't used my 580exii flash w/ my rb67, but have with my c330 - the 580 ii has a pc port, so all you need is the pc sync cable, and some way to attach it to the camera. You could use the cold shoe on the side, although it's pretty awkward, or get a handle/grip/bracket.</p>

<p>I'm interested in this as well, but, uggh, I have a 580EX mkI. The mkII versions added the pcsync port. Dagnabit. </p>

<p>I also have a 580mk1 and Mk11 I use a pocket wizard to fire the flashes off camera other wireless syncs would also work. on the 580mk1 I have a little shoe that I fit to the bottom of the flash and it has a cable to connect to the pocket wizard.</p>

RZ has a hot shoe you don't need anything my buddy has tested his 580 and it works.<br /> Have to set the flash to whatever manual mode it has.</p>
