tony_black1
I have 4 Mamiya rz67 lenses.
50mm ULD
110mm
180mm
350mmAPO
and wondering what would be the best f stop in terms of sharpness and depth of field for these lenses? I usually shot at around f 11 or f 16. Do you think I will loose sharpness if I stop down further like f 32 or f45?

Thanks.
dave_s
I have an RZ and two of your lenses (not the posh ones), but I don't know the 'sweet spots' for aperture and I don't know of any published tests. I would guess f/8 to f/11 would give you maximum resolution, but it will vary between different lenses. I am sure you won't lose anything significant at f/16.

You will lose sharpness at f/32 or f/45 due to diffraction. You are constrained to 35 - 40 lines per mm at f/45 as the theoretical limit of resolution, and these lenses should far outperform that.
