Does the Tokina 10-17mm fisheye fit the canon 50D?

<p>I was about to buy the Tokina 10-17mm on B&H but it said it only fits canon 40/30/20D.<br>

Has anyone used this lens on the 50D? im not sure if the notes on their site havnt been updated since the 50d or if for some reason it really wont fit. i would appreciate it if someone can help me! thanks!</p>

<p>The B&H info needs updating. The Tokina 10-17 will fit the 50D just fine.</p>

<p>The 20/30/40/50D all have the same dual mount and registration. Lens that fit one of them will fit all of them. The article your quoting as data that most likely predates the 50D. The lens is most likely an EF-S type lens then and won't fit the 5Ds or 1Ds.</p>

<p>As a matter of fact it does fit the 5D or 1D series cameras. You just have a very limited range when you mount it. Maybe from 16-17mm on full-frame and 15-17mm on an APS-H like the 1D Mk III. If you go wider you begin to see the inside of the lens. You also lose the fisheye effect.<br>

I have this lens and have used it on a 1D Mk III, 1Ds II and 40D. Not much fun except on the 40D.</p>
