sai_kit_ng
Hi, I learn from zone vi that a pentax spotmeter can be modify. Could anyone tell me what is all about? Thanks Kit
enrique_vila1
Zone VI was ver y well known for their highly modified equipment. They modified the Pentax Spotmeter, so it would react to light exactly the same way film does (most meters react the same way only with daylight).
This was done by incorporating various filters and precisely calibrating the spotmeter to match film curves.
Best meter I´ve ever seen.
Enrique.-

kevin_kolosky
I own one, and have tested it against an unmodified one. it truly does make a difference due to the fact that meters actually are not linear with respect to color response, and also with respect to infared and ultraviolet light. kevin
sai_kit_ng
Thanks a lot, Enrique, Alec and Kevin.Beside Zone VI & Richard Ritter, who will do the modification outside the States? I mean in Asia? Does it cost a lot to modify? Kit
