kurt_driver
I'm thinking about one of these hoods and wondering if it will cause vignetting on any Mamiya lenses or will it go well with all of them. I really don't know if I need this hood, I don't shoot in a studio, but rather carry the camera to other places. With camera, lenses, and tripod I'm already carrying a bit. I guess that's a couple of questions, What is this useful for, and is it useful with all Mamiya lenses? Thanks, Kurt
jack_welsh
Have the Bellows lens hood G2 for my RB. Liked it so much, I bought a bellows hood for my 645 Pro. One of the best investments made. There are marks for each lens, so they don't cause any vignetting at all. Plus, they do a great job in keeping flare down. My work is all outdoors, no studio.
jim_momary
The G-3 for RZ is listed as suitable for 65 mm - 360 mm lenses only. (in the accompanying paperwork)
The original G for RB says 90mm - 360mm.
This may infer vignetting with wider lenses for both systems.
I can't comment, I don't have a bellows hood.
Jim
paul ron
If you aren't using it in a studio, get rubber hoods instead. They are bulky n clumsy on any lens. I have 2 of em I'd like to sell if you are interested?
The more you say, the less people listen.
