joe_burns1
I run LR 2.0 and was wondering if it is worth reinstalling the entire program to upgrade to 2.3? Any thoughts on the subject would be welcome.
Joe
remco-jan.woldhuis
I would always update to the latest version simply because no software is faultless, and bugs are solved in update releases.
Carl Stone
Why do you have to re-instal the entire program to do an update? Why can't you go to the help menu and scroll down to updates?
godfrey
Don't think about it so much. Download and run the update. v2.3 improves many things.
Carl Stone
There is probably a v2.4 in the wings, as I understand that Adobe is close to releasing ACR 5.4 to cover newer camera models. That may not be the only improvement in a new upgrade, so I definitely get them.

krisheylen
You should upgrade, especially if you shoot raw.
I didn't do it until last week, thinking that it wouldn't make a change at all for my "old" D50.
Boy, the new camera profiles just do wonders to my pictures. I spent some time resetting pictures and starting with the new profiles and then using the same preset, and they look soooo much better. For testing I selected pictures of different styles and situations with a 100% success rate!
pcnilssen
I bit the bullet, and bought the upgrade from 1,4 to 2,3. My oh my, what improvements. Why did I not do that earlier?
