tim_kong
Hi,
I was just wondering if I were to calibrate my lens with the in camera lens calibration software from a 50D, will the calibrated lens works with another digital body, say a 40D? Or the calibration software is only acurate on the camera that you calibrated with. Appreciate any advice before I start fiddling with it.
Tim
zml
Micro adjustment (MA) is camera-specific software command (to adjust focusing +- certain value with a given lens) which does not affect the lens itself.

mbkissel
If you are very precise, you can adjust each of your lenses to the exact "sweet spot" for autofocus. As Michael says, there is no adjustment to the lens, so it won't be carried over to other bodies. I have two lenses that needed adjustment to optimize for my liking. I find I have fewer missed focus issues since I adjusted these two.
