Leica repair in Beijing

<p>I have a friend who is living in Beijing and needs to have some work done on his M cameras lenses. Does anyone have any experience there with Leica repair and can make a positive recommendation? Thank you in advance...Robbie</p>

<p>There's a few Leica M retailers out at the 'camera plaza' about 1km north of Wukesong metro station. That would probably be your best bet. I know there are technicians who service Leicas in Beijing (I just sold my dud Minilux to one of them), but unless you can speak/read Chinese it may be hard to find them or work with them.</p>

<p>I would suggest that the best starting point would be the official Leica dealer in Beijing. The tel number is 010 5863 1047 (or mobile cell 13911134416)...can't remember his name...young guy and he speaks English. Has a showroom outside of the city area and a couple of smaller shops in the Wu Ke Song market mentioned above. </p>

<p>My suggestion is to send it to Don at DAG Camera in the US. If those are expensive lenses then get it done properly by an expert. Thats my view on it</p>
