tri-x1
A clean microfiber cloth. One of the great inventions of the past century.
phototransformations
Actually, it's best first to brush off or blow off any surface dust and then use a microfiber cloth or (I think an even better solution) a LensPen. Another great invention of the past century.
truman_le_sueur
If it's only dust, I'd use one of those rubber blower bulbs. The one I have is called
"The Rocket". It works almost as good as compressed air, is cheaper, and of course is environmentally friendly. When not in use, I keep it sealed in a zip lock bag.
glenjo
It's the dust INSIDE the lens that drives me nuts, especially when it shows up with the lens stopped down.
steve_smith50
Blower first, then a microfiber cloth next, applied lightly.

You don't need to get every last speck.
