Dust on lens

<p>Actually, it's best first to brush off or blow off any surface dust and then use a microfiber cloth or (I think an even better solution) a LensPen. Another great invention of the past century.</p>

<p>If it's only dust, I'd use one of those rubber blower bulbs. The one I have is called <br />"The Rocket". It works almost as good as compressed air, is cheaper, and of course is environmentally friendly. When not in use, I keep it sealed in a zip lock bag.</p>

<p>It's the dust INSIDE the lens that drives me nuts, especially when it shows up with the lens stopped down.</p>

<p>I think you will find that dust is not in your lens, but elsewhere.</p>

<p>In response to Neil: Blow it off with a blower bulb, or brush it off lightly with a soft brush. You don't need to get every last speck.</p>
