james_sheridan
Hey Guys, I have Canon 40D and i've noticed that sometimes when i put live view on all i get on the screen is the bright parts of the image flickering green or red and the rest of the image is black. the camera wont meter the scene properly when its like this either. The only thing I've found to fix it is to turn the camera off and on (sometimes i have to do this a few times before it works). Does anyone know if this is a fault with the camera or if I'm doing something wrong?
James.
brad_smith8
I know it can identify blown highlights with colored areas, but that's not it if it goes away by turning it off.
Is the LiveView being used a lot? If so there may be some overheating (according to the manual).
james_sheridan
No, I definately dont used alot, it usually happens the second or third time i turn it on, and sometimes if i have it on and take a picture when it comes back on afterwards I'll have the problem.
