ago
Hi to all, I have an EOS 300 and my question is: can I change batteries in the middle of a roll of film without any problem? Thanks A.C.
s cohen
Yes, you can. The camera will remember the frame counter and all other settings (I think it's a flash memory circuit. never mind).
weim_tan
I have tried taking out the batteries from my Elan 7 and left them overnight. The next morning when I re-inserted the batteries back, all the previous settings came out intact, even the film ISO over-ride value. However, I am not sure for how long the memory could be retained when the batteries are removed.
sajeev_chacko
i have kept my EOS 300 without batteries for few days and still it remembers the number of frames, film ISO and some setting like the apperture and the shutter speed set in Av/Tv/M mode. when reinserted, it selects automatic focusing points. so changing or removing the batteries should not be a problem with any EOS bodies.
