light gallery
Hello friends.
I am hoping to find someone with an Epson 750V scanner in the Tacoma or Seattle, WA area willing to let me wet mount scan one of my pristine 4x5 color transparencies. I have read so many posts about this scanner and my head is spinning. Too much information!
My goal is to continue to use 4x5 transparency film, scan and print digitally. I've heard good thnigs about teh 750V, but before I invest in one, I'd really like to see what the results are like. Glazer's in Seattle has a 700 they will demonstrate for me, but I would rather it be the 750V with teh wet nount capability.
Hope to hear from you.
Walt

sergei_antonov
Hi, Walt!
You could rent time in Photographic Center Northwest, they have this scanner. I don't know how optimistic they will be about letting you to do wet mount... Check this out -- http://www.pcnw.org/facilities/digital.php. You have to pay year membership, then rent. I am using this place for wide format printing.
I am using my scanner with 4x5 with success, but I am too lazy to do wet mounting. Epson's mounting holder needs a bit of work to be more useful, there is third party solution, but in my opinion it is way overpriced piece of plastic.
--Sergei
gt1
I highly value my betterscanning holder with ANR glass, it makes it much quicker and easier to scan.
