Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a portfolio or gallery example of a traditional Cambodian wedding? I would love to learn more about their custom and ceremony, and how photographers tackle that situation. I see some online after searching but they are just snapshots or non wedding photographer pictures. Thank you.

No gallery examples, but memories: there was traditional dancing for the couple, who were seated a seated under an awning. After the dancing they remained under the awning with their hands clasped on a table in front of them; family walked past the table and placed flower petals on their hands until there was quite a mound of them. It was a lovely experience.

They go on all day... reminds me of Irish weddings. Been to plenty, first one I failed to pace myself - started drinking at 1:30pm and had my last at around 2:00am the following morning. Luckily for me I wasn just a guest. Learnt my lesson...

Went to one about 14 years ago.... All day affair - a lot of clothing changes (at least at the one I was at) and if memory serves me right - A lot of opportunities for great images.

The only thing that threw me (as a guest) was the reception food line where no one thought twice about sticking their hands into the food and pulling out what they wanted...

Hi all, thanks for the feedback. So it sounds like I have a lot of time to frame shots and get images since the ceremony is dragged out over the course of 2 days. Cool, and ummm really long. I am going to have to pace myself and bring lots of memory cards. I am talking to the bride this week about the progression, so a lot of this will fall in place after my conversation with her. Was just hoping to see some images.
