jessica_kok
I am shooting a family (mom, dad + 2 kids) in a few days. Dad owns a machine manufacturing company that has been in the family for 4 generations. They would like the shoot to be in and around the warehouse. They have industrial ovens, 20 ton cranes, etc. Does anyone have examples of family photography in this kind of setting? I'm excited about this shoot, but I'm a little nervous about doing a family there.
derek_kennedy
Wow - weird location...this is going to be a challenge to say the least. Good luck Jessica! (dont be nervous)
sofie_dittmann
Truthfully, I wouldn't be nervous, unless one of the kids is really out of whack. I think this can be a tremendous opportunity, if done right. Make sure you scout the location beforehand, if you can, and think of a few ways you can pose them in there. I'M JEALOUS!
eric_overacker
I agree with Sofie. You know it could be worse....you could be shooting at a park, lol. Enjoy your opportunity to shoot something out of the norm.
luis_g
I agree with Sophie too, and don't just scout the location beforehand. If you can gain access for just an hour, drag your gear with you and you can do test shots beforehand to check your lighting, mix of color temps, backgrounds, etc.

nathan_meador
Definitely a second on Luis's suggestion of scouting ahead of time. Manufacturing plants are usually pretty dark overall, but you could get some pretty interesting stuff with forklifts, raw materials, etc that should make for an interesting experience.
