Suggestions for an inexpensive lens for Canon 10s

<p>Anybody have any recommendations or experience with an inexpensive lens for the canon 10s film camera? I'm looking to for a wide to standard zoom focal length lens mainly for shooting black and white film and color slide film. Not looking to spend too much money on a lens since I already have a lens that I use with my digital slr that I am quite happy with and have no intentions of switching to a full frame dslr any time soon, so any advice or recommendations will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.</p>

<p>I'd agree. It's the Canon 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 USM II. Beware of the inferior EF 28-105mm f/4-5.6 (USM or not)</p>

<p>The EOS 10 was originally sold with the 35-135mm USM lens. This made a good all-round combination.<br>

Although not as wide as the 28-105mm, the 35-135 sells for about half the price. The two lenses have very similar construction and performance.</p>

<p>If you want a lens that is a bit more on the wide side ... have a look on the EF 24-85/3.5-4.5 USM. (Build quality and optical quality is comparable to the forementioned 28-105).</p>

<p>What do you have on the dSLR? Is it a 18--55/EF-s or some other digital only lens?</p>
