james_glucksman1
Yes, I managed to find one at Penn Camera on 18th Street NW in Washington DC. I tried it on a lark, since none of the other usual suspects had any, but sure enough they had one. I think it's odd that you can find the battery grip easily enough, but not the batteries.
evphotography
Good luck, I had to wait an extra week for my extra battery I ordered with my 5DII to arrive, after I got my body from Adorama. Best thing is to put an order in and wait. Adorama hasn't been to bad. I only had to wait about 31/2 weeks to get my 5DII and hopefully won't be any longer than that for the second extra battery I just ordered.
douglas lee
Interesting. My local shop had extra batteries (out of stick, now) but hasn't been able to get the grip. B&H has the grip, but no extra batteries, nor the AA insert.
dave_trayers
I haven't picked up a second battery yet, but my experience with a single battery has been over 1200 shots on a charge. That's using a 70-200 2.8L IS with the IS turned off. I would expect with the IS turned on the battery life is shorter.

philip_wilson
In Canada there are no batteries or grips yet. However I was shooting outdoors all day in about -18C and I got 400 high quality Jpegs and only used about 23% battery capacity.

swede_spoltore
I found a number of batteries in supply at Allens Camera / Levittown, PA. You can check them out on the internet and call their toll free #. Their pricing was the same as B&H.
mike_louw3
Got one from Adorama.com in December (had to wait 2 weeks for backorder), but they're out of stock there again at the moment. I agree with Eric Vaughan; probably best to put in your order and wait. Stock doesn't seem to last long!
kevschu
They are in Canada. I got my grip and extra battery before Christmas. It was the last one they (McBain Camera) had in stock. I guess I was lucky.
