For my 20D body
Keepers:
sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 (although faster would be nice)
canon 50 f/1.8 (although a mk II->mk I would be nice or replacement by sigma 50 f/1.4 even better)
tokina 100 f/2.8 macro
New ones:
Sigma 30 f/1.4
Canon 85 f/1.8
Canon 70-200 f/4 (and if santa is nice a 1.4 extender)
Zooms for extremes of my range and 3 primes & 1 macro for middle range.

This is a fun dreamers thread!
So far I dig my gear... but have room for improvement.
Sigma 10-20... please make it faster
17-55... is beautiful, santa please deliver B&W UV filter.
50 f1.4... nice optics, but seriously better build and focusing needed.
New ones,
Sigma 30 f1.4
EF-S 60 f2.8 Macro
70-200 f2.8 IS
ps Santa please bring 1 excellent tripod, a couple strobes and a sling bag!

I'm also pretty happy with my setup, especially now that I have replaced a 70-200 f/2.8L with the IS version of the same lens. But I might consider upgrading my 17-40 f/4L with the 16-35 f/2.8L II (thus bringing all my zooms into the f/2.8 area). I'd also love to have a long lens, like a 500mm so that when I finally do go to Africa I'll have something long enough to capture animals from far away.

16-35 L

24- 105 f/4L IS (my usual "walking around" lens)

24 - 70 2.8L (to use as a "walking around" lens when I'm indoors)

70 - 200 f4 IS

100 - 400 L

50 1.2

But most of these are just upgrades. I'd be happy to keep my 17-40, 24-105, 50 1.4 and 85 1.8, get the two long zooms and let Santa bring some more "toys" to good boys and girls.

400D user here.

17-40/4
50/1.8 (the 400d plus a 50/1.8 is such a cool lightweight combo)
50/1.2
70-200/4 IS
500/4
100/2.8 Macro

(If santa would throw in a 5D -any version- the list would change a little but not a lot probably.)

Regards, Matthijs.

70-200 f/2.8 IS
100 f/2.8 macro
TS-E 24 f/3.5L tilt-shift
135 f/2.8 soft focus
15mm f/2.8 or EF-S 10-22
I'm not giving up my EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 unless Santa's bringing me a 5DmkII + 24-105 f/4L in exchange for it and my 40D

14mm f/2.8 L II - sometimes you need to see everything at once
24mm f/1.4 L II - my favorite lens
50mm f/1.2 L - just because I want to try it
85mm f/1.2 L II - just in case Santa wants to do some modeling when he drops by
TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L - just because I miss my old large format motion
100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L - just in case I can't get close
Well, I am waiting patiently for the sound of reindeer hooves. Hmmm. It's nice to dream. This is much better than sugarplums, whatever they are. :-)

Happy holidays all,
Dan
