pujo
Hi all, Does anyone ever use this new type of battery? if yes can you share about this battery type? This is the first time for me to know that such thing exists. What surprise me is the weight of the battery. it says only 350gr or less that 1lb. The amperage is bigger that the dryfit, I am not sure if it will shorten the life of the bulb. Oh I found it in ebay. if you google it you should find it too. Thanks in advance for the input. cheers

savagesax
Can you provide a website? As far as I know you can only use Metz batteries with the 60 series strobes. Quantum doesn't make a battery pack for the 60 series, but they do for the other Metz units. The 60 series takes a powerful battery, because the guide number is around #198. I'd be very interested if another company came out with a light weight battery to handle this flash unit.

savagesax
Pujo, I wouldn't trust the battery. The Metz 60 CT4 probably costs around $800 and I wouldn't chance trusting another battery maker in fear of frying the strobe.
If you decide to try it let us know how it works out.
pujo
I thought so too, but at 350gr, its just to tempting. if its available locally, I will try it out. thanks
