cole_anetsberger
Does anyone know where I can get one of these? it's the smaller screw-in cover that shields the shutter priorityAE coupler (not the winder coupler- i have that one) that is usually shielded by the AE power winder. I kind offeel like using the camera without the winder for a while (taking it somewhere where it needs to be lighter andmore compact) and don't want anything to get in there and damage the camera. I couldn't find any info for itonline. Maybe someone has repair/parts contacts? Help is greatly appreciated!-Cole Anetsberger
HenryUK
Try these people: http://shop.thefotogeeks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=210 I bought a set of covers a couple of years ago and they were good quality. Henry
dave_s
The smaller cover is the first thing to go missing on an F-1N. (Either that or the eyepiece ring.) I just use a piece of tape.
cole_anetsberger
Wow, thanks guys. Henry, thanks for that link. I think I'll go ahead and order one. Cole
canonfduser
Henry, thank you for the link. I've been checking eBay for one for a long, long time with no luck of course. I only needed one but since I had to place a minimum order of $8.00 I ordered 2 AE Coupling Covers so now I have a spare. It'll be nice to pull the gaffers tape off that covered the hole and replace it with the proper cover.
cole_anetsberger
<p>Well after a long wait, turns out they don't have the part because canon doesn't make them anymore. Looks like tape is the way to go. Sigh...</p>
paul_chambre
<p>Doesn't look like they have them anymore. I did manage to find one from the repair department of Mike's Camera in Boulder, CO, though.<br> MediaForm, in Australia, also claims to have them, but won't ship to the US: http://www.mediaform.com.au/products/ca1-2152-000-cap-ae-coupler-new-f-1.html</p> <p> </p>
