gene_kublanov
I shoot wedding and I encounter mixed light situations. Is it worth investing $1000 in a color meter or is there another solution.
pujo
Well,
1- More CF and Shoot only RAW will set you back around $100+ (3x8GB cards) and do some magic in LR
2- Color balance card / filter and the like is around $30-125
3- Color meter at least set you back $1000

For me who is tight on budget, the first choice is better and work. for other maybe different

richard_quindry
I agree with Mike. I've shot professionally for over 30 years. I have a color meter. Now that I shoot digital I never use it. Shoot RAW, Shoot a gray card in each lighting situation (I like QP Card - it's white, black and gray). Adjust the white balance in the raw files to the gray card. gene_kublanov
Would a color meter help someone who is partially colorblind?
mike_earussi1
No, but shooting a gray card would since that would give you a color reference for you to adjust to in raw.
