tom_kieren
I have a Schneider 75mm , 150mm and a 47XL lens and for architecture and even large interior spaces, I tend to use the 47XL for 90% of my shots - without a center filter but with a 120 roll film back for most of my shots. Now I am considering purchasing a Schneider 38mm XL lens for even wider angle shots. Does anyone have a relative comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of using the 38 vs. the 47XL lenses for my type of photography? Also, what is the inherent integrity/quality of the Schneider 38XL lens per se? Thanks Tom Kieren
helenbach
Although I don't use it a lot, when I do use my 55 mm (on 4x5) for architecture nothing else will do in many cases. With other lenses it's not so important, if you see what I mean - there's another solution, another way to put the pieces together. If anything I'd prefer something just a little wider at times. Here's an example of such a time: link.
Best,
Helen
