tricia_moorehead
Hello Everyone, I want to thank everyone for the advice to wait and purchase my longed for XSI - to bypas the e-tailers selling it for dirt cheap and wait to buy from a reputable store. Today I found a great deal. I went ahead and bought the black body with kit lens @ 20% off. Then I added a second lens I've seen recommended here the 55-250 mm f/4.0-5.6 IS for a sale price of $245 and guess what the nice people at Amazon are doing on combined purchases of Canon SLR's and lens' - they gave me an additional $100 off. Alright I did stretch the budget from where I had intended to go but hey, that grandbaby is due in 2 short weeks. I am going to be in sooo much trouble when hubby gets home. But I figure if I can find a great deal on a PS3 on craigslist or the like, he'll forgive me ... eventually. No I need to figure out what to do with the goodies I've just purchased. OMG how will I know when to use what lens. Are you getting the picture that I am a complete novice? That'd be correct. If you see a completely confused woman juggling a camera and lens - it aint me! :) Here's to seeing if the soon to be granny brain picks new skills up as easily as before. Thanks again everyone. wayne_campbell
"I am going to be in sooo much trouble when hubby gets home." Whoa, sounds like role reversal. Isn't this usually the problem for guys when their wives get home?
chrisjb
Enjoy your new venture, just spend time with the manual and you`ll be fine, then search the archives of PN if you get stuck :)
