thom_bennett
What camera bodies did Leica offer the .058 finder on? Thanks!
Fotohuis RoVo
M7, MP on the actual analog production cameras. It's very nice with a 28mm lens.
tom_burke3
And M6TTL. I'm not sure if there might have been a very small number of very late M6's s well, but probably not. Certainly the M6TTL, however.
john_gleason1
Per Gunter Osterloh's book, this finder was first announced at Photokina 2000, for the M6 TTL. And it's 0.58x, not .058 (that would be pretty hardto use!)
thom_bennett
Thanks for your answers (and the clarification on 0.58x!) I was hoping that the classic M6 offered this option. Is this something that can be retrofitted? I wear glasses and like wide lenses and, from what I've read, this seems the ideal finder for me. Fotohuis RoVo
Yes it is. Certainly when you wear glasses. Yes, I think it can be changed by Leica C.S. in Solms but that will be not a cheap solution. The M6 (TTL) is not an actual production camera anymore but indeed 0,58 is available for this camera. best regards, Robert (from Holland) and working with the M7 0,58 camera. The Elmarit 2,8/28mm (IV) is one of mine favorit lenses.

thom_bennett
Thanks again. I was hoping for an M6 Classic w/28mm to ride along with my M4-2 w/50mm. I'll check into the M6 TTL even though the shutter speed dial goes the "wrong" way.
stuart_richardson
Also, the Konica Hexar RF is about .6x I believe, so it is fairly close to the .58x of the Leicas. Just another option....it is a great camera.
Fotohuis RoVo
I think the M7 and M6 TTL dial are in the same way, however the MP, M6 dial are maybe in the "wrong" way :)
knut_schwinzer
Also think of 35mm to marry a couple...<div></div>
graham_line
Minolta CLE is not Leica, but it is M-mount and has a .58 finder.
laurentvuillard
Is THE finder if you use a 35mm or wider! Amazingly easier to use than the 0,72 when you wear specs.
