musings
Thanks, Javier -- I forgot to say how much I liked your Cheesecake Factory photo (great shot!). The color and the clarity and sharpness is the best I have seen...well done! Cheesecake Factory, btw, is also my favorite place to eat...my whole family loves everything on the menu...great food. :-)

personalphotos
Great idea for a thread Javier. I really like this type of photography but never do nearly enough of it. Charlottetown is a small city and I'm a little hesitant to take many shots of the locals. I'll have to get over that! Here's a few: <p> this one is supposed to be soft <p> <a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/'><img src='http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/4307/potw112sd4.jpg' border='0'/></a> <p> <a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/'><img src='http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/804/ud4ry7.jpg' border='0'/></a> <p> <a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/'><img src='http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/149/imgp7107ppsmbwca3.jpg' border='0'/></a> <p> <a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/'><img src='http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/4043/imgp7065bikeuk0.jpg' border='0'/></a>

johnmarsden
Here's an image taken today as part of the camera to work every day project. Definitely a shop shot - not as classy a shop as yours though Javier. ISO 200 K10d 125th at 6.3 28 mm. I find the concept of a garden gnome posing like this absurd and funny and yet a comment on society that a shop has several of them, in various poses and states of undress. And even more ridiculous is that I took a picture and then spent at least another few minutes shrinking it down to post on PN. All the best. At least its at the bottom of this thread and not too many people will see it! ;-) John<div></div>

jemal.yarbrough
Not sure if these qualify as street shooting since you guys keep referencing short focal lengths of sub 50mm. The first is shot with a Holga. <p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/blackfist2k2/2950379889/" title="holga 2 - Darkened and sharpened by Mr. Gosh Darn Wonderful, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3217/2950379889_1e78d256da.jpg" width="500" height="490" alt="holga 2 - Darkened and sharpened" /></a><br><b>Holga</b></br></p> <p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/blackfist2k2/2959000510/" title="Mega Chucky by Mr. Gosh Darn Wonderful, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3180/2959000510_3c6bda6857.jpg" width="500" height="335" alt="Mega Chucky" /></a><br><b>Chucky on Hollywood Boulevard</b></br></p> <p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/blackfist2k2/2958161153/" title="Secret 27 of 30 - Demon by Mr. Gosh Darn Wonderful, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3058/2958161153_cb6f50c3df.jpg" width="335" height="500" alt="Secret 27 of 30 - Demon" /></a><br><b>Demon on Hollywood Boulevard</b></br></p> <p> There are a bunch more that I shot from Redondo Beach and Hollywood Boulevard, but who has time to actually edit 600 photos. jgredline
Great stuff Jemal. Those are some of my favorite places to shoot. Can you post up some pics from Redondo? I have not been there in a while and have been pondering going down to the pier there. I also have a chucky pic.Not as good as yours though, but here he is... <img src="http://i404.photobucket.com/albums/pp128/jgredline/Strangers/captured40.jpg">
jemal.yarbrough
Here is the one decent shot from Redondo that I have processed. Sigh. I also shot another 300 yesterday at Venice. I'm way behind in processing. <p> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/blackfist2k2/2943245564/" title="ocean by Mr. Gosh Darn Wonderful, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3040/2943245564_93a8ec4a06.jpg" width="500" height="335" alt="ocean" /></a><p> This was taken from nearby the Seaside Lagoon looking back up at the pier.
