douglasphotos
Greetings, I'm seeing a very popular effect being used lately where an image has some sort of overlay of faded sheet music or a hand written note or a textured surface layered on top. I'd like to do this with an image I have.Any thoughts or answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Doug
patricklavoie
put the textured, music sheet etc..over the background, set the blending mode to MULTIPLY and set the opacticity to taste. Also, by simply putting the textured over the background and playing with the opacity only could yield to the result you want. next question please! : )

stanleys
I would play with the different blending modes for different effects. A good way to make overlays is with a flatbed scanner (If you don't have any).
douglasphotos
Unfortunately I don't have a scanner but I do have access to a copier that i might be able to copy the overlay i want to use and transfer that to the pc..never thought of that. Thank you Stanley!
