dankapsner
I have shot a test roll and can't figure out how to rewind it. No instructions came with the body. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks, Dan

JDMvW
Just to get to that state quickly, though you do want to look at the FED manuals, note that there is a, usually, knurled ring or collar around the shutter release. This has to be pushed down and twisted to lock to release the advance reel inside the camera so you can rewind then by lifting up and rewinding the film with the tiny wheel on the left side of the camera as you hold it with the lens forward. Critical point, never change the speed until you have advanced the film and cocked the shutter with the "right". larger knob.
02Pete
Ben Bernanke is still trying to figure that out.
steve_mareno
JDM is correct. If you look closely at the shutter release knob you will see that it has a little arrow and is marked U and C. You want to push the outer part of the knob in, and turn it clockwise to the U (unwind?). Then you are set to go. I love my Fed 2. Wish it had a bigger viewfinder like the Zorki 4, but the build quality and smoothness of the controls are much nicer. They still take astonishingly good photos too.<div></div>
JDMvW
On Cyrillic-character FEDs, the letters are Cyrillic "P" and "S" - that is a character that looks like a 'Pi' or such and a Roman character C.
