larry_s1
Does anyone have info for the useful life on injet inks (Epson pigment). That is how long are they good for in the box and in a printer? Do they fade or color shift? If so, how much?
colin_mattson1
Epson's rated specs are good 2 years from production in the box, good for six months after installation. They will shift, the amount and direction varying depending on local environmental conditions and the particular color in question. Under normal circumstances, unless you need the tightest tolerances, I'd be comfortable saying you can probably get away with 9-12 months on an installed cartridge if you need to. With the desktop printers, that's probably not even a concern; if you're moving up to the Stylus Pro line, that's where lower-volume users are more likely to run a little long.
