jmooney
Hi All, I bought a lens before doing all my homework on the R system and I know now it's a 2 cam lens and my plan for my R system is to shoot with an R8 so I was wondering if it is possible to convert it to a 3 cam lens and what's a ballpark cost for the conversion? It's a 35 Elmarit-R so it's not an earth shatteringly expensive lens but if it's affordable to convert it I'd rather do that than shell out for another lens and have to deal with selling this one. Thanks in advance, Jim
ronald_moravec1
DAG camera repair. My charge a few years back was 75/100 dollars. Price may be higher now. Maybe parts are not available. Google Don`s address and phone.
jmooney
Thanks Ronald. I've emailed him. Does the lens behave like a fully functional 3 cam, meaning are there any caveat to having a lens converted? Jim

gaijin
Current price for converting a 2 cam to 3 cam lens at DAG is $100 plus $20 shipping. I just had one done.
gary e
Leica NJ quoted me $175 a few years back. Never sent it in. Instead bought a Leicaflex SL to use the lens.
