Mt. Rainier/Emmons Glacier

Taken a couple of weeks ago. Finally getting around to posting some of these...<br><br>

 

This was taken at the pull-out (pull-in?) at the last switchback going to Sunrise. There's mild vignetting that

I forgot to correct PP before adding the border, but I think it adds to the picture (how's that for an

excuse?).<br><br>

Nicely captured, John. I had not seen Mt. Rainier before, but the view of the mountain from the glaciers towards the summit gives evidence of its massive size. I like the photo quite a bit, but to be honest, I am not a fan of the red border. Perhaps a black matte would help enhance the image? It's a very nice photo but I think the red is distracting.

 

Thanks for posting this. I would like to see Mt. Rainier someday soon. Do you have other photos to post of this area?

John, I agree with Jeff on that Red border..It is a nice image. I do not see the vignetting you speak of. What lens did u use?

I used a Pentax DA 18-250. Perhaps the vignetting is visible in the non-PP'd picture:<br><br>

Ah, I see the vignetting now in the corners in the non-PP'd photos. The photo looks much better without the borders. Again, nicely captured, John...Mt. Rainier looks beautiful.
