fire fotos
Hi there. Does anyone know if big billboard images are shot with film or digital? If digital then how may MP,sensor size etc, and if film then what kind. Curious. Thanks in advance. I love this site. I've learnt so much from you guys :-) Phoenix
mark_hartman
They've been shot with both. I'd guess most billboards are shot primarily with digital today simply because most commercial work is done that way now. Billboards are also viewed from a pretty good distance and usually while moving, so you really don't have to use a large format camera to have images usable for billboards. So much is done in production and resizing of the typical vinyl billboard material that most digital or film SLRs will produce exceptable images for outdoor display. mike_godwin1
This one was done by a friend of my son with a Canon 20D.
<a href=" for Rain
And no, it's not my Flickr account.
I hear that up close it doesn't look as good but who gets that close to billboards anyway.
