maylis_curie
Hi everyone, I need to have some prints done, size would be 11x14. These would be from a digital file, in black and white. Can anyone recommend a company that would do a good job for not too much money? Thanks a lot! dannica
MPIX is good. WHCC is another one you may want to try.

dave_redmann
Mpix is the only one of the big players that prints on real B&W paper. They use an Ilford RC product that is designed for digital minilab use. It has Ilford's "pearl" finish, which I guess you'd call a semi-matte, and which is maybe more-or-less similar to Kodak's "lustre". The contrast is a little low, so make sure the uploaded files have a little more contrast than usual. An 11x14 on the Ilford B&W paper will run you $7 or so. If you want to get real FB prints, A&I and several other places will do it, but figure $50 or more.
lauren_macintosh
I use Adorama Pix center for the stuff I can not print on my printer have gotten good results and sometimes If I catch them on Sale Like they had 11x14 on sale on any paper 1.99 So I got some fotos on Metalic paper and they look great: Weather I send them any ICC Profiles or not they do good work!
