anne_mcelwain
I'm currently using photomagico to do slideshows and I like it, but am looking for something more like the photo story platinum by ourpix.com. http://www.ourpix.com/photo-story.html It has some styles that are nice and advanced looking-- the only problem is that they don't work yet on the Mac Platform. Does anyone know a software similar to this one for Macintosh? Thanks!!
joey_smith2
I love photo story platinum too, it has the power to leave someone breathless and offers much simplicity but although a perfect professional result. On the Mac Platform, maybe you can try iPhoto. Hope it helps.
wedding-photography-denver
I maintain a PC environment for Photodex's, Proshow gold. I have been using this for years now and like it more than iphoto. Hope they one day code it for a mac.

anne_mcelwain
Thanks guys, unfortunately I have 2 Macs... what's going on here? I thought Mac's had the best design programs... I can't wait for when photo story platinum is available for Mac. Thanks!
mike_iezzi
As a Mac user I work with iPhoto and love the simplicity of the software. I do know that if you're using a newer Mac with duo processors the latest version of iMovie is a better way to go. Strongest advantage is the ability to sync your sound to the image transitions. If you have a newer Mac, go to your nearest Apple Store and sign up for one year of One To One Training. For $99 you'll get a wealth of training and have iMovie slide shows going in no time. Good Luck!!
outdoor_guy
I have a related question. I used Windows movie maker to create a slideshow. However, when I play the DVD movie, the picture is not as sharp as it is in Lightroom. It almost seems that there's some kind of compression going on. Can Photodex or other program play back without loss of image quality? Thanks in advance.
joey_smith2
The image quality of DVD movie created by <b><a href="http://www.ourpix.com/photo-story.html#106">photo story platinum</a></b> is very good. I still use it for DVD movie. Photodex has released <b><a href="http://www.photodex.com" target="_blank">proshow 3.5 </a> </b>with with Blu-ray, I just consider to have a try. Any one is using proshow 3.5?
patrick_anibaldi1
<p>Windows movie maker sucks, the resolution output is like 640x480 I believe. A good solution that is FREE is using Picasa 3 by google.</p>
