xavier farre
I want to change my computer. I use Lightroom 2, PS CS3 and Nikon Capture NX2. Will I have problems if my new computer is on Vista 64 bit? It will have 8 Gb RAM. Anyone is using any of this on vista 64?
peter_wald
Hi Xavior I've been using NX 1.3 on Vista-64 with 8 GB RAM with no problems. I haven't upgraded to 2.0 yet but I can't imagine it will be a problem.
chris_letts
First to be fair Nikon don't claim it works at all on x64 Vista, so I'd suggest you download the 30 day trial and give it a good tryout. In the end I did buy it (after a trial) for my x64 Vista machine and found most of it is fine, but some things don't work - e.g. the print dialogue stops half-way through, and you have to click on the header line of the window to re-activate it (printing then continues OK but make sure you have the version 2.0.1 update or it prints the wrong size !) some edit functions such as resize and fit photo don't work at all, and on my machine some of the keyboard 'quick- key' combinations also don't work... Is it still worth buying ? I already had NX so only paid the £79 for upgrade so for me probably yes, but I wouldn't have paid the whole £100+ for the full version. I'm just about to download v2.1 to see if that cures the problems.
chris_letts
Quick update - the v2.1 download seems to have cured my resize/fit photo problem, the only problem remaining is the weird print thing, which has an easy work-around
