elliot1
I have been experimenting with video this weekend and had a couple of questions:

1 While shooting video with AF-S mode, is it possible to have the camera refocus without stopping the video?

2. AF-C mode does not seem to work all that well as it seems to continuously try to focus (hunting and goes in and out of focus). It this normal?

Thanks in advance.
davidfarquhar
1, yes with a half press of the shutter button it will refocus. This is noticeable on the final video so I usually edit out the refocus. It is handy to not have to stop videoing to refocus 2. I haven't had good experiences with continuous focus. Similar to you. So I rely on pre focussing or single AF
elliot1
David, I have tried that numerous times and have not been able to get the camera to refocus. Is there something is the settings that needs to be setup in order to enable refocus?
