17-55/2.8 Bob Atkins

Hi I have a quick question for anyone or if Mr. Atkins have any info on that.

I was trying to buy the 17-55/2.8 IS through amazon as recommended by Bob due

to their good return policy and free shipping. But I can not find it on amazon

as being sold directly by amazon. Do they still carry it? or if they do then

does anyone know if it is out of stock and if anyone else checked about the

availability time etc?

Any answers will be appreciated especilly from Bob Atkins as he may know more

about it.

Thanks

Syed

Amazon often does have some of the best prices and some of the widely advertised dealers do sell there. However, NEVER pay outside the Amazon payment system. If you do you have no protection at all, and Amazon is not always very alert to scams posing as direct sales through Amazon ("e-mail me first" and then you get an official looking e-mail "from Amazon" that tells you to send a money order to Vlad in Transylvania).

Okay, I bought my 17-55 2.8 from Amazon last year as well a couple DSLR grips and a 40D

(plus a zillion nonphoto items). I've also bought many dozens of similar items from B&H. Both

have excellent service but Amazon shipping is cheaper (or free if you don't mind waiting a

week). Sometimes Amazon is cheaper or vice versa. Neither one charge tax in Hawaii.

If it says super saver shipping available, it's from amazon. All others are outside venders.

Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see.
