daniel_harris
I have enjoyed the wonderful photographs each week. I wasn't able to get out but once due to the heavy smoke from all the fires in CA. This one photo was taken about 10 in the morning. It should be a blue sky this time of year. That's smoke, not clouds.

Matt Laur
Unlike your west coast tinder box, the east coast has been getting tons of rain. Everything is growing like crazy. Even simply hay and wheat fields are starting to look like jungles. This is from this morning, in the hills of Maryland, 30 miles north of DC.

derek_thornton1
Hey Matt, there is one spot on the east coast that has seen little to no rain. Greenville SC. Thats OK, drive two hours east and they have a surplus of rain. derek-thornton.artistwebsites.com

paul_de_ley
Down here in southern CA spring has been great for wildife but now is definitely over. it's 100F at noon, light is too bright and shadows too sharp most of the day, birds have raised their chicks and kicked them out of their territories, none are willing to pose anymore. So I went up to Jenks Lake in the mountains where it was still a bit cooler and the jays still enjoy basking in the sun.
